Erik R. Norris was raised in the beautiful countryside of upstate New York.  While getting his A.A.S. in Radio/Television Broadcast at Herkimer County Community College (known for their top-seated Division III soccer and lacrosse teams) he won an award for excellence for his play-by-play lacrosse commentary.  He also co-founded the Marquee Theatre Group, helping to produce and star in more than five productions in less than two years.  
     After transferring to SUNY Oswego, Erik received a B.A. in theatre.  He completed his degree in two years.   As an actor, he was well received and of his last performance as Adam in The Apple Tree a local paper wrote, “Norris’ portrayal…leaves little to desire, as the Oswego theatre veteran’s comic timing and dry wit are impeccably adoring…”
     Upon graduation, Erik then moved out to the west coast.  He co-founded, produced, wrote, directed, and starred in the extremely talented improv/sketch troupe The Head Doctors. The endeavor was a successful run (they broke even) for over two months at The Empty Stage Theatre in Santa Monica.
     On the small screen, Erik was on MTV’s Human Giant, a sketch comedy show in which he played a Tom Cruise impersonator along side Jon Benjamin and Paul Sheer.  Next up, Erik shot a buddy-comedy pilot called Show ‘Nuff starring himself and comedian Adam Ray.  As brothers, Erik and Adam’s characters found themselves owing some bad (but extremely funny) people a lot of money.  With guest stars Natasha Leggero, Eddie Pepitone, and the legendary Jimmy “JJ” Walker.
     Erik’s first big screen opportunity came as he played an E! news reporter opposite Kristen Bell and William Baldwin in Judd Apatow’s Forgetting Sarah Marshall. Next,  he appeared in Paramount’s Imagine That as “Bob” working with the legendary Eddie Murphy under the direction of one of the greatest guys in LA, Karey Kirkpatrick.
     Taking the rein as co-producer and co-creator, Erik co-starred in the hilarious five-part web series Dirty Friends.  As a bi-polar DJ, his character finds himself surrounded by five degenerative friends who find solace in sex, drugs, and each other.     Most recently Erik has co-starred on FX’s The League, Fox’s Touch, ABC’s General Hospital, and can be seen in a number of commercials. In addition, Erik’s been a part of countless viral videos (3 of which have been featured on the front page of Funnyordie.com).  
    Erik is currently studying improv at UCB Theatre in LA and has had the privilege of being taught by the insanely talented Billy Merritt, Mike Leffingwell, Ben Siemon, and Alex Berg. He’s also one of the seven performers in the improv group, The Pinstripes.
    He has also served as the spokesman for ARRI lighting, KMGI, Publicity Guaranteed, been a featured guest on the podcast There Will Be Spoilers with Matt Fondiler of the Adam Carolla Show, and most recently co-hosted Project Cuddle’s 17th Annual Fundraiser with John Stamos.

    In his down time, Erik loves to travel, camp (he’s an Eagle Scout), run, mountain bike, read, write, plays in a basketball league, walks on stilts, loves TESLA, has a fascination with science, is a huge Chicago Bulls fan, and sometimes writes in third person.
